Growing A Money Garden

When I posted my last post I talked about a project I was going to be starting. The project was the start toward growing my own money garden. Sad to say that the project will need to be postponed until I’ve gathered sufficient funds for it. The first plant of this project was to start investing in binary options.

Binary options are a very lucrative way to make money. However, with all financial vehicles you must be prudent with how you handle them. For those of you who don’t know what an option is, an option is the right, but not the obligation to buy or sell an asset at a set price. Options are derivatives of these assets that are being bought or sold. Of course, this right only applies to the investor that is buying the option. For those that are selling them they are obligated to buy or sell the underlying asset if the option is exercised. This can be very costly if you do not hedge yourself properly. Of course, there was a bit more to this than I originally had thought.

A short while back the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, also known as CFTC, has been trying to crack down on brokers who are not regulated by regulatory group. One of the main underlying reasons is for the safety of the investor. These unregulated brokers could at any time take all your money and just run away with it. This is not to say that all unregulated brokers are bad or not safe, but this is a word of caution. On top of that it is illegal for a U.S. citizen to invest in binary options that are not being brokered by a regulated broker. So if you’re not a U.S. citizen, then perhaps this may not apply to you. Now back to why I didn’t start planting the first plant for my money garden.

As I had mentioned earlier I was going to wait till I’ve gathered sufficient funds to start planting this plant. This doesn’t mean I can’t start, but the broker I decided to go with was offering those who put in $5,001.00 or more a 100% bonus on the money they were going to deposit. For someone that isn’t make a whole lot gaining an extra $5001.00 is a big deal. Of course, this isn’t the only plant I want to plant to gain financial freedom.

In my last post I had realized that I really hated working a job. This dislike in working a job made me realize I needed to plant a garden of money. So besides the investing plant I have actually already started working on another money plant, and that plant is this blog.

As many of you already know blogging is a viable way to create passive income through affiliate programs and advertising. I know I’m still on the bottom of the totem pole, but I feel that it is important to share my experiences for this garden of money I am starting to work on as well as anything else that I feel strongly about to help improve oneself. So on that note of improving if anyone has anything they want to share or learn about please let me know. I am an avid learner and would love to help everyone become better than they were before.
