Retirement, this one word is the carrot that most of us chase for the majority of our life. We go to school so we can work for freedom. We work so we can save up to buy our freedom. We buy our freedom so we can focus on doing the things we wanted to do in our lives as we grew up. Don’t be like that. You only have so long to live. So live to the fullest and start doing the things you want to do in your life now.
Sometimes there are days that we feel that we can’t move on or just want to give up on everything. We feel so much pain and sorrow that we become lost. However, with something as simple as a hug or letting someone know you truly love them can remove all that sorrow. Become that light for someone you care about and let life’s blessings fill you with much joy.
Commitment, for many of us this can be a scary word. I know I’ve shied away from being committed to many things that would have probably been of great benefit to me. However, for those of us that are scared of the idea, it is time for us to change that.
I know that currently I’m rather bad when it comes to committing to things. I commit to very little unless for whatever reason it has a strong pull on my emotional side. One example I can give is being committed to posting on here.
When I first started blogging on here I was very excited. It was something new and having heard that it could become a potential income source had excited me even more. I was relatively active to begin with. Of course, as time went on it became a drag to try do something for it; especially since at the time I was more money motivated than anything else. This lead to just not working on it at all at times. And then I just stopped.
At that time my commitment wasn’t toward giving but taking. I just wanted to receive without giving back. I was selfish. However, I knew that this wasn’t the right path to true wealth. So I decided to commit myself to trying to give back. This led me back to posting. To post at least once a day. Even if it was just a simple picture; never stop posting daily. I wanted to commit to giving back. To make giving a habit and a part of my life. So are you still having problems committing?
If you still have trouble committing, then try this; start something really small. When you start something really small and do it daily it becomes easier. When that becomes you can do something a little harder and repeat doing it daily. By doing this you will train yourself to be stronger and form habits.
Committing to something doesn’t have to be hard or scary. We can all commit to doing good things; especially if it can help you and others at the same time. However, you need to take that first step for it to work. So commit to yourself to start today.
I am excited today to share with you what I have just found. As many of you may know from my recent blog posts is that personally I have been feeling anxious about education. These feelings are not from the fear of doing, but more of how am I going to have the time and money to afford to become educated. And then I found what I was looking for; an opportunity.
When I was browsing facebook I came upon a link to two sites that offered free courses. Those sites were:
I also found out along the way that M.I.T. has been offering free courses as well online. If any of you are interested in that click on this link: M.I.T. Courses.
I am not saying that one should not go to college to get an education. I think the experience can be invaluable; not to mention that many places in today’s society ask that you have a degree to get a job. So I still plan to go back to school, but I am glad to see that an ideal I had about knowledge is slowly beginning to be planted in our society. Thank those that have made this a possibility.
Hello my fellow readers. Are you all doing well? Today as I was working on a passion of mine, Magic: The Gathering, I came across an article from the head designer for magic. This article was truly inspiring. It had talked about getting that dream job, and in this case he had used himself as an example since he was working what he considered to be his dream job. Of course, it didn’t start out to be the original dream job he had in mind, but in the end it all worked out for him. If you guys are interested in reading about it please click on the picture above. I hope you guys enjoy it.
Hello everyone. Are you all doing well? I hope so. Last Saturday I had an amazing experience. And it has to do with giving.
Originally I was only going to go play a simple prerelease for a game called Magic: The Gathering. I had came a bit early so I figured I would go kill some time at the nearby Wal-Mart. As I was walking toward the store I saw a rather filthy man ask someone for money. This man came up to me asking me for $8 dollars. He had a rather pungent smell of him similar to that of a druggy. For whatever reason I ended up giving this filthy man the $8. Upon reaching the doorway I saw a few people trying to raise awareness for breast cancer. Now, you may not know this, but there was an interview done by some news group about these kinds of organizations and though their intent is good the money is typically not used very much for the intended purpose. However, yet again I felt compelled to give them a few dollars. And it was after that moment that things started happening.
The first thing that happened was I came upon a really cool Magic: The Gathering shirt. At that moment I knew I wanted it. So I got it. I then proceeded to the card shop to play the event. My card pool was at or maybe a little more than break even for the amount I had paid for it. Then to top things off I was given a bye for the first round giving me an instant win. From that point during that break I came upon some cards from another game I had been interested in for some time, but never had the opportunity to really try out. I had asked the clerk how much a single deck was, but another individual, he may have been a manager or owner of the shop, told me he’d sell me the everything they had of that product for a mere $20. Now the typical price of these things being sold at a shop for like that would be about $10 to $17 per deck. The other thing that was added to this was the booster packs. These packs average about $3.50 to $4.5 a pack. I had gotten 5 decks and 26 boosters. That is on average a $141 worth of product for just $20. Then during the raffle in the middle of the tournament I received a $7 limited Magic: The Gathering deck box. And lastly I made it into the top 8 with a 3 booster prize pool for my 8th place finish.
The thing I wanted to show through this personal experience was that through my unconditional giving I had received more than I gave. This is something I know I need to work on more, but I do believe the universe was working to give back to me for what I gave without thought of return. So if you really want something in life remember give unconditionally and you shall receive more than you give in due time.
Hello everyone. How are you all doing? I do hope you are all doing well. Today I wanted to share with you all something that I read. And the topic I had read was about abundance.
Have you ever felt that there was something lacking in your life? I know I’ve felt scarcity in my life. I’m sure that most of you have felt scarcity in your life as well, but why do we feel this scarcity?
I don’t know if any of you have ever heard or read this magazine, but the magazine is called “Law of Attraction”. They also have a website with the url of: lawofattractionmag.com. It’s a pretty good magazine and something I would suggest to anyone to check out.
While reading the latest issue I could find I came upon this article about abundance. The article was a short story about a man who was feeling very stressed about life and the things he lacked as a provider. This man had prayed for help and eventually came upon an answer. That answer was to give away money. At first the man was confused, but he took it to heart and started giving away money. Slowly, but surely, his life started to turn around and he was receiving much more than he was giving away.
This sounds good and all, but most of would probably say or think that we can’t give away money like that. We make excuses thinking we can’t afford to do things, but what is really happening is that we are setting ourselves up with the mental attitude of scarcity. And with this scarce mindset we attract to us scarcity into our lives. This is not to say there won’t be tough times, but by focusing our energies on the negative we can only see the negative and miss out on the potential opportunities that lie right in front of us. This man that had changed his life is a good example of this. His mind was focused on negativity and scarcity, but by changing his thoughts not only was he able to find more opportunities, but also be able to give back to society.
So if you want to get out of a poor life, then think of a rich one. However, in order to receive you first must be willing to give. This is the path of wealth. Until next time take care and try to live life abundantly.
