Inspiration: The Spark Plug of Life
“It is good to be inspired by others, but it is better to be your own inspiration.”
Inspiration is an important part of the creative process. For most of us the start of a project is usually due to some sort of inspiration or need to do the project. However, along the way, a good many of us become stressed out, lose sight of the project, or are just completely drained of energy and can’t seem to get out of the rut. At such times I find it crucial to have something to feel inspired. Whether it be by my own devices or through something else I know I need the inspiration to recharge my creative energies to see things through. Here are some ways you can recharge your creative energies and become inspired again:
- Go for a walk.
- Play with a pet.
- Have some coffee at a cafe with friends.
- Learn something that has nothing to do with the project you are working on.
- Go to a park and watch people.
This will take your mind off the project and give you some time to relax. Aside from relaxing, this will also open your mind to other various ideas to ponder about. Which in turn will lead you to new inspiration. Thus giving you that much needed boost of energy. So the next time you face a problem or are stuck on a project just kick back, relax, and let the inspiration guide you to the solution.
“Inspiration and genius — one and the same.”
